As a Sales Account Manager, you will be managing sales with existing customers and
targeting new prospects for the plastics distribution business, specifically focusing
on the Commodity and Technical Products portfolio. In addition, you will develop and manage a
territory plan that provides a growth plan consistent with strategic goals, being
sales and performance driven with dedication to achieving team goals that will be
critical to succeed in our overall business aspirations.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Manages sales in the territory to reach sales, gross profit, account number,
penetration targets, and product goals. Plans weekly sales itinerary to realize
overall sales strategy.
• Services existing accounts. Responsible for coordinating division’s sale and
delivery of products in a fashion that meets the customer needs. This
involves extensive interaction with the customer, Sales Management, CSRs,
Product Line Management and Credit. Resolves any problems that occur
before, during, or after the sale (i.e., credit, supply issues).
• Identifies leads for new accounts. Working with the Sales Management to
develop sales strategy
• Monitors competitive situations. These including pricing, payment terms,
shipment terms, and types of materials handled by competitors.
Communicates competitive situations to CM and other relevant parties.
• Fulfills responsible care sales activities safely. Accountabilities, which
include personal and vehicular safety and product stewardship.
• Develops and maintains professional presence in the territory. This includes
expanding product knowledge through training materials or supplier seminars, enhancing sales management skills through training, and
attendance and participation in local professional organization
• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or
related field.
• Fluent Polish and English skills. Other languages are valued.
• Minimum of 5 years of Plastics Distribution Sales (mostly Polyolefin) or
much related industry experience.
• Well versed in industrial commodity chemicals and capable of calling on all
types and sizes of accounts.
• Proven, relevant qualifications in the following areas: self motivator,
enthusiastic, time management skills and
• responsive.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills along with the
ability to work independently.
• Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
• Experience with SAP and/or Salesforce.com is a plus.
• Ability to negotiate and build effective relationships.
